Sandra Ellis
Program Director
Sandra Ellis is the Program Director at the Ruby Pardue Blackburn Adult Day health Care Center. Sandra graduated from West Wilkes High School in 1972. Sandra has worked in the medical field almost all her adult life; she was one of the first health occupations students while still in high school, even then she knew that helping others is what it is all about. She has worked in rest homes, the hospital, and for the last 24 years Sandra has worked in home care.
Sandra says “I give God all the credit for anything good that comes my way, and that is just what I do when I talk about working at the Adult Day Care. It is very challenging and at the same time fulfilling. The opportunity to help keep people in their own homes in an honor.”
She has a son Richard, who is married to Christina. They are the parents of Hannah, Sandra’s youngest granddaughter who’s 7. Sandra’s daughter Kelly is married to Sam to whom two children were born, Haley who is 13 and Ethan 10.
Crafting is a big part of her life, she has taught many classes through Wilkes Community College. Currently she is teaching a scrapbook class. She loved to take photographs of her grandchildren, scrapbook, rubber stamp, and go camping. She belongs to Lewis Fork Baptist Church where she teaches Sunday School and sings in the choir.
